After a good victory the week before against Turriff we hoped to build on that against high flying Huntly but inside the first minute we went a goal down when a long kick out by keeper Bremner found Michael Ewen who ran to the byline and his cross found Myles Brownhill who netted at the far post.

We responded well winning a couple of corners which came to nothing but ten minutes later we came close to getting an equaliser when a Kyle Mclean cross found Gordie Morrison who's shot beat the keeper but also the far upright.

We were certainly matching Huntly and making some good opportunities with Duncan Jones next to test keeper Bremner who blocked the ball with his legs.

Huntly came back into the game just before half time with Clach keeper Hastie saving a Colin Robertson header, but on the stroke of half time Huntly struck again when Stuart Soane dispossessed Kyle Mclean and then ran unchallenged and from inside the box beat keeper Hastie.

Any chance of getting something out of the game went on 51 minutes when a Michael Ewen free kick wasn't cleared properly by the Clach defence and the ball fell perfectly to Colin Robertson who's half volley found the net.

Two minutes later it got worse when an Andrew Fraser cross from the left found the unmarked Myles Brownhill who beat keeper Hastie at his near post, Two minutes later it was five as Myles Brownhill scoring at the second attempt after Hastie has blocked his first shot.

We did make some chances ourselves but found keeper Bremner in fine form as we battled to get something out of the game,  A goal came but again it was for Huntly as Colin Robertson found himself alone down the left before cutting in tho beat keeper Hastie.

Keeper Bremner then saved a point blank Morrison shot before he was finally beaten when the ball broke loose inside the box for Gordie Morrison to score a conselation goal for us.

That wasn't the end of the scoring as Huntly substitute Andrezj  Kleczkowski was through on goal and with just keeper Hastie to beat rounded the keeper and slotted the ball into the empty net.
