| Clachnacuddin thumped six goals past bottom of the table Rothes with the league's hottest property Gordon Morrison netting a hat trick on his way to claiming top spot in the SHFL scoring charts (Highland League games only).
The Lilywhites had the ball in the net in just the 8th minute when Gordon Morrison and Paul Smith combined but a foul was awarded for the challenge on goalkeeper Horne.
Three minutes later and some good play down the right saw Ashley Grant feed Mark Dougal but his effort was deflected round the post for a corner by Adam Naismith. However the corner backfired as Clach raced up the park to net.
Andrew MacAskill netted a debut goal when he raced unchallenged down the left before firing past Ricky Horne with the visitors defence posted missing. It was 2-0 in the 15th minute when Colin Williamson's free kick was cleared only as far as Adam Naismith
His volley from the edge of the box came back off the frame of the goal but Gordon Morrison was on hand to slide his first of the afternoon over the line from close range.
Rothes had a chance to pull one back in the 21st minute when Ashley Grant chipped the ball down the right to Mark Dougal who advanced before shooting from the inside right channel towards the near post but it was well saved by David Harrison in the Clach goal.
Half Time Clach 2 Rothes 0
There was a further Lilywhite goal disallowed before they made it 3-0 twelve minutes into the second half. Gordon Morrison's run down the inside right lead to a shot across the face of the goal which came back off the woodwork to Paul Smith who was well placed to net.
Morrison was the creator of number four too, once again advancing down the right this time to cross for Stuart Leslie who stooped to conquer, his diving header finding the back of the net.
It was only a matter of time before Gordy Mo added to his tally and his second of the afternoon was to come in the 71st minute. Paul Smith set him free with a pass in from the left and Morrison ran through, rounded Ricky Horne then trundled the ball over the goalline.
The striker then completed his hat trick ten minutes later when he rose to meet an Alan Pollock delivery from the right to nod in the sixth legitimate goal of the afternoon.
Despite Rothes creating a number of chances in the game it is a day that they will be keen to forget as they begin to find their feet after what has effectively been a winter shutdown.
